1. Krantivira Sangolli Rayanna – Bangalore Station 

Bengaluru’s central and the biggest railway station, located in the city’s center, is a hub of activity. It is the busiest train station in the South Western Railway zone. The railway station has ten platforms and 25 tracks.

2. Banaswadi Railway Station

Banaswadi railway station, 12 km from the Bangalore City railway station, serves the Banaswadi and Baiyyappanahalli areas. It is on a branch line within Bangalore connecting Yesvantpur Junction and Baiyappanahalli.

3. Bangalore Cantonment Railway Station

Cantonment railway station is one of the three essential railway stations serving the city of Bangalore, and it is located in the locality of Vasanth Nagar and nearby Shivajinagar. The station started operations in 1864, with the launch of the Bangalore Cantonment – Jolarpettai train services by the Madras Railway. You will experience old style colonial vibes at this station.

4. Bangalore East Railway Station

This old British Era Railway Station is a small, quaint station located in Frazer Town, Bangalore Cantonment. It is convenient for residents traveling to or from Kolar Gold Fields or Madras. 

5. Hoodi Halt Railway Station

Hoodi Halt railway station is on the Bangalore–Chennai mainline. It is about 38 km from the Bangalore City railway station and serves Hoodi, Whitefield, and the International Tech Park Areas. It is part of the Bengaluru suburban rail network.

6. Kengeri Railway Station

Kengeri station is a central station on the Mysore–Bangalore railway line within the city limits of Bangalore. It is located about 10 km from the city center. It is one of the largest suburbs stations in Bangalore. 

7. Krishnarajapura Railway Station

Krishnarajapura railway station is a suburban station in Bangalore located about fourteen kilometers from the Bangalore City railway station. It is an essential station for commuters traveling to and from the city. Some of the major routes are Chennai and Kanyakumari.

8. Nayandahalli 

This station is 10 km from Bangalore City railway station. It serves the Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Baapuji Nagara, Deepanjalinagara, and Vijayanagara areas of Bangalore city. The Mysore–Bangalore line runs through this station.

9. Yesvantpura Junction 

One of the three essential stations serving Bangalore is in the Yesvantpura locality. This fully developed station was started to reduce the rush at Bangalore City railway station. The Bangalore–Pune & Bangalore–Hyderabad main lines pass through this station. It also has direct trains to the major cities of India.

10. Yelahanka Junction

The Yelahanka station is a railway station located on the outskirts of Bangalore city, about 25 km from Bangalore City. It is situated on the Guntakal–Bangalore line.

11. Whitefield Railway Station Bangalore

The Whitefield Railway Station is located about 25 kilometers from the Bangalore City railway station. It lies on the Bangalore–Chennai route and is double and electrified, with the Krishnarajapuram–Whitefield section scheduled to be converted to a quadruple line. The station will become a junction with a new Whitefield–Kolar line. Also a part of sub urban railway network.

12. Baiyappanahalli Railway Station

Baiyyappanahalli Junction, located about 13 km from the Bangalore City railway station, serves as a railway junction for Baiyyappanahalli, Indiranagar, Krishnarajapuram, and HAL areas. The terminal is India’s first airport-like train terminal to feature a sustainable building design with natural ventilation, green spaces, and an abundance of light with modern facilities.
