If you’re looking for a quick escape from the hustle-bustle of Bengaluru? Trekking at Antharagange is where you should head to on an early morning weekend. 

Trekkers, rejoice! Whether you’re a seasoned trekker or just looking to get back in touch with nature, here’s the perfect spot in Kolar.

The Antharagange trekking spot is a rocky mountain with small water streams in the Kolar district. It is at a distance of 70 km from Bangalore. Just a 2 hour drive away from the city.

There is a temple called Sri Kashi Vishweshwara temple, known as Dakshin Kashi (Kashi of South). 

It is one of the most fantastic places to visit near Bangalore during the weekend. Antharagange means “Water from the deep”. It got its name due to the pond near the “Sri Kashi Vishweshwara temple,” which gets continuous water flow from deep.

Antharagange Trekking 

It is a rocky mountain with a fantastic blend of nature’s elements, such as natural water springs, caves, and rock formations. Also known for its Natural Volcanic Rock Formation. The trekking route consists of overgrowth rocks and boulders of various sizes, caves, and small water streams. You will have to climb, walk on uneven surfaces, crawl while exploring the caves. 

This place is for trekking and cave exploration, and it also offers a view of the sunrise/sunset. The hill is at a height of approximately 1226 meters (4021ft). 

The total distance of the trek is 5km.

There are three parts to the Antharagange Trekking:

The first part involves 350-400 steps that lead up to the Sri Kashi Vishweshwara temple, which is situated on top of the hill. You can reach the temple within 30 to 40 mins. 

The second part of this expedition is moderately challenging and involves trekking a 3km trails that go to the top of the hill. The trail takes around 2-3 hours and has steep inclines and declines along the way. The trek level is moderate to difficult.

Antharagange Trekking and Cave Exploration Entry Fee
