Manipal Media Network Limited, a diversified multi-industry conglomerate with its headquarters in Manipal, Udupi District, Karnataka, publishes Udayavani. In October 1999, Vijaya Karnataka was founded by businessman and politician Vijay Sankeshwar(VRL group). Bennett, Coleman & Co. The Most Powerful Kannada Newspaper is the slogan on its front. Ramnath Goenka created the organization. The New Indian Express Group, one of the largest Kannada newspapers in Karnataka, and Jupiter Capital, a corporation formed by Rajeev Chandrasekhar, a member of parliament for the Bharatiya Janata Party, jointly own Kannada Prabha.
The headquarters is in Bengaluru and was founded on 4 November 1967 with just one edition; it is now published in 5 locations throughout the state.
