2. Chikkajala Fort – A Perfect One-Day Trip from Bangalore to explore the City’s Rich History

The secret about Bangalore you might not know about, is this 3000-year-old Fort of Chikkajala. At a distance of 30 km from the city centre on the way towards the airport.

7. Kaiwara & Kailasagiri Hill 

These two places are worth visiting from Bangalore. Kaiwara is a small town near Bangalore known for its Saint Kaivara Tatayya ashram and temple complex. Kailasagiri is a small hill at a distance of 7 kilometres from Kaiwara, offering panoramic views of the local landscape and cave temple.

8. Markandeya Betta 

Markandeya Hills is a beautiful and peaceful place to visit over the weekend. Betta is located around 50-55 kilometres from Bangalore and 14 kilometres from Kolar. One can drive up to the top of the hill. The place is a bit isolated, so you may be the only one there once you get there.

A secluded place ideal for a short trip on weekends. You can either make it in the mornings or late afternoons and enjoy the site for its serenity.

10. Dandiganahalli Dam

11. Karighatta Temple

Karighatta is a hill situated a few kilometres outside the town of Srirangapatna. It is located off the Bangalore-Mysore Highway, just before you reach Srirangapatna.
